A rustic hotel next to the water

This is a rustic hotel from around 1675, located in the picturesque village of Arild in Skåne in the south of Sweden. At Hotell Rusthållargården you have a view of Skälderviken and to pretty streets in the village. The hotel has an award winning restaurant and serves a bunch of different type of foods. Hotell Rusthållargården´s restaurant they serves classic scandinavian dishes with a modern touch. All dishes are prepared using local ingredients, including herbs from the hotel’s own garden.

We just ate breakfast at the hotel, but it was good. It was quite a big selection of hams, cheeses, herring, vegetables and bread. And they also had a selection of warm food. The breakfast were served in buffet style so you can pic what ever you desire for the day.

All rooms at Hotell Rusthållargården are individually decorated and unique to each others. Some may have floral wallpapers, wooden floors and old-fashioned furniture create a charming atmosphere. At the hotel you get access to free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

The hotel rooms felt clean and tidy, but in my opinion it also felt quite old time. But that’s probably the rustic part of it as well. Personally I (Rebecca), like more about a modern interior, so my opinion may not be the right… But as long as it´s clean I´m happy.

In the hotel complex there is an relaxation area located in one of the villas by the sea. There you can find a pool and hot tub. There is also a sauna and a cooling pool with ice-cold water. There was not that much people at the hotel at the time we visited so there was just us in the relaxation area.

If you wants to explore the surrounding area you can visit the Kullaberg Nature Reserve and the idyllic fishing village of Mölle, both within a 15-minute drive.

If you arrive with your own car the hotel offers free private parking nearby.

A note for you that have a dog with you, it´s totally fine both in the rooms and in the breakfast area. But give them a heads up when you book.
