The Nap Patong – A calmful and mordern hotel in good location

The Nap Patong is a modern, stylish hotel with minimalist design that feels a bit scandinavian in their interior. The hotel is located in a good place, since its near both to the beach and the more hectic centre of Patong.

About The Nap Patong

When you arrive to The Nap Patong you will see the reception is open with no walls around it. Which made it feel very big, light and modern. The staff in the reception is very friendly and helpful and you get a warm towel and something to drink in the meantime they check you in. The staff at The Nap Patong speaks english very well so there was no problem at all with the communication.

The Nap Patong is engaged to work for our environment. In their interior they uses quite a lot of wood and they claim that the swimming pools are maintained without the heavy chemicals and with the salt water pool system instead. The systems for lightning and ventilation are also design to minimize their use of energy.

What does the hotel offers?

The Nap Patong offers a tropical, modern, relaxing and laid back vibe all over the hotel. In the swimming pool area you can order some lighter food or drinks from the pub menu. In the lobby of the hotel you can chill out in the lounge area with sofas and a daybed. And in the restaurant you can take an ice cream or order dinner. If you are a more active human they have an area for playing pool and if you want to work out they have a big gym with both cardio machines and weights also.

The Nap Patong also offers Nam Spa, Tah-Nu Boutique Shop, Taokra internet and library room to use under your stay.

More comfortable and practical things they offer are for example luggage storage, elevator, parking, 24hr guest service and security, free Wi-Fi, roomservice, laundry service, baby sitting service, doctor on call, Tour desk to help you book travel and sightseeings, transportation arrangements, free of charge bicycle service.

My thoughts about the hotel

I really did my research before I booked this hotel. And my expectations I had before arriving to The Nap Patong was met and more.

After a week in a small scuba diving liveaboard room I was very pleased with the size of the room that I got. It was very spacious and good planned. It had a big wardrobe space where I had my bags and could hang up the wetsuit to dry. Perfect! The bathroom was enormous with a really big shower as well. And it had really good water pressure so I could shower my hair with no problems at all. Score! In the main area of the room there was two queen size beds, I choose this room at fourth floor over the one with a king size bed on second floor. But it actually turned out great. Because I stayed at The Nap Patong by my self this time I got the one bed to sleep in and the other one to have stuff on and sit on during the day when I was in the room.

The room was connected to a private balcony with a view over the pool area. It was a really big balcony with lot of space to sit. There was a sofa and a table and a drying rack to dry wet bathing clothes and towels.

My room had a great and quiet AC that worked perfect and set the room temperature as I wanted. The room also had a mini fridge with free bottled water, always great to have fresh water nearby. I experienced that the room was very clean and fresh. I didn´t see any dirt or bugs anywere and that was a really good thing for me. The hotel offers free wifi and surprisingly that was quite fast internet. Yeey!

Food at The Nap Patong

Since the hotel offered room service and I was very tired after all the diving I did, I decide to order a club sandwich and a fresh pressed orange juice the first night at the hotel. It was delicious and can really recommend it if you are tired after a long travel or so.

Not to forget, the breakfast. Oh, yes the breakfast. It was REALLY good. There was a huge selection of things, everything from eggs, sausages, thai food, pancakes, a lot of fruits and vegetables. A huge selection of cereal and yogurts and of course some juices to choose from. Everything was very fresh and warm and I was very full when I left the breakfast area for my daily adventures. If I came back to this hotel with Daniel I know I would travel with one happy and satisfied man!

Summary

From the first steps in to the hotel and my room I felt very relaxed. It was a good atmosphere around with all the water and the other guests was nice and polite and we nodded at each other when we met in the elevator. It´s neighbor with a good resturant as well as a supermarket which is always good for more food and water.

I will definitely recommend this hotel if you are going to Patong. And I will for sure come back to The Nap Patong in the future.
