A classic place to visit
Tanah Lot Temple is one of Bali’s most important landmarks, renowned for its unique sea and sunset environment. The temple is an ancient Hindu shrine lying on top of a rock in the middle of constantly crashing waves. Tanah Lot Temple is simply among Bali’s icons and not to be missed.
In the area around The Tanah Lot there are some sace with smaller sanctuaries along with visitors’ leisure facilities that include restaurants, shops and a cultural park where regular dance performances are regularly shown.
The temple is located in the Beraban village of Tabanan regency, about 20 km northwest of Kuta. It is often included in sightseeing and cultural tours to Bali’s western and central regions.
There are going to be a small fee (around 1.5 USD) for you to get in to the temple area. But when you are in, you are able to walk around as you want.
